A Chaîne de l’Espoir team will leave end of April for the Children’s Hospital Albert Royer in Dakar. Doctor Luc Schroeder, from Chaîne de l’Espoir Luxembourg, will join the mission to explore the possibilities in the ENT departement.
The team is composed of:
- Anita Clément, director Chaîne de l’Espoir Belgique
- Marianne Le Marchand, project manager Chaîne de l’Espoir Belgique
- Damien Desmette, orthopaedic surgeon Chaîne de l’Espoir Belgique
- Doctor Luc Schroeder, ENT surgeon, Chaîne de l’Espoir Luxembourg
Orthopaedics : children who were operated on during the last missions will be seen again in consultation, as will children who will be operated on during the next mission (usually 30 kids are treated during one mission).
ENT : visit to the ENT service and contacts to kick off international ENT missions.
The Chaîne de l’Espoir Belgique team will supervise the execution of its 5 years plan in Senegal.
In the frame of the activities of Chain of Hope Europe will the team also establish contacts with the different Department Heads and with the local authoritities to discuss the next steps of the training plan for local doctors (Specialized Diploma).
