Melvine, who was suffering from a very serious heart malformation, has been operated on in the Cliniques universitaires Saint-Luc in Brussels. He is now a happy and healthy little boy, who spends his recovery with his Belgian foster family, and is taken care of during his saty by the doctors of Keten van Hoop. He will be traveling shortly back to his home, where his grateful parents are anxiously waiting to see him.

Chain of Hope Belgium’s vision is that children can be operated on in their home country. To reach this goal, Chain of Hope trains the medical and paramedical teams in the countries, give material to partner hospitals and make people in Belgium, and local authorities abroad aware of the need and ways to develop quality specialised paediatrics healthcare.
