Heart surgery mission in Rwanda 26/11 – 6/12/2016
A team with Belgian specialists from Chaîne de l’Espoir Belgique – Chain of Hope has returned from a 10 days mission in the King Faysal Hospital in Rwanda, where they treated and operated on 24 children.
During that mission, the project team also visited local academic and public authorities to further define the steps towards a more complete and inclusive health-system for all children.
The doctors and paramedics came from different univesrsties and hospitals in Belgium, Cliniques universitaires Saint-Luc in Brussels, UZ Gent and Jolimont Hospital. They value their essential work in saving children’s lives, but also in training and exchanging ideas with hteir colleagues in Rwanda.
